Lainey Wilson, the newly crowned Female Artist of the Year, delivered a sensational performance of “Grease” at the 2023 ACM Awards held at Frisco, Texas’ Ford Center. The singer started off her performance by joining forces with Jelly Roll for a duet of “Save Me” before taking the stage alone to perform her Bell Bottom Country track.
With her hat and jacket tossed aside, Lainey’s spicy rendition of “Grease” was high-energy and complete with a rocking guitar solo. The stage was lit up with fire and fireworks as Lainey danced across the stage, dropping to her knees at one point to sing to the cheering crowd.

She walked into Thursday night’s awards show already a winner, having taken home a trophy for Visual Media of the Year on Wednesday (May 10) thanks to the music video for her duet with Hardy, “Wait in the Truck.” That collaboration also won Music Event of the Year during the show, and Wilson also took home Female Artist of the Year and Album of the Year.
In addition to Lainey’s fiery performance, the 2023 ACM Awards were co-hosted by living legends Dolly Parton and Garth Brooks, marking the first time Brooks has ever hosted a major awards show, and the first time the two country music icons have worked together.
